19.05.2014 Bin activator for problematic materials

Spiroflow, Clitheroe, UK, has begun marketing internationally a novel bin activator designed and manufactured by its US sister company Spiroflow Systems. The unit features integral vibrating blades to maintain regular flow and minimise bridging of a wide range of materials, including those which are hazardous, toxic, require ultra-hygienic handling or which simply present poor flow properties, such as titanium dioxide.

The blades are fully adjustable to ensure accurate flow control, with energy being imparted directly into the bulk material by the vibrating blades. The bin activator is available in a choice of carbon steel or stainless steel and has been designed for easy cleaning. ATEX-compliant versions are also available. It can be tailored to suit customers’ specific needs. Facilitating reliable discharge of powdery or granular materials from bins and hoppers, it can also be incorporated into dischargers and feeders. www.spiroflow.com
