Available from Sweco Europe, Nivelles, Belgium, is the PharmASep™ family of filter/drier machines recently launched by the US parent company. The new machine incorporates engineering modifications to screens, spouts, clamping assemblies and other design elements that significantly increase ease of use, safety, precision and productivity in critical pharmaceutical applications. Combining Sweco's patented Vibro-Energy® separation with Vibro-Dry™ vacuum drying technology, the PharmASep filters and dries product efficiently and effectively in one machine. 
 

The result is a truly sanitary separator manufactured to cGMP standards that can be used for wet or dry processes and handles up to 100 litres of solid product (particle sizes of 1 micron and above). With Class 100 Clean Room design and CIP/SIP capability, the PharmASep operates on a batch or semi-continuous basis and also can provide highly efficient size separation of dry powders. The whole system is enclosed and can be adapted as part of the operation in a semi-automated manner, making validation of the process easier. Now in use in the USA and Europe, PharmASep is available worldwide and is supported by an experienced, international team of field service engineers.
