Minebea Intec has introduced the PR 6003 mounting kit, a new solution for silo weighing applications designed to combine ease of installation with high accuracy and robust safety features. Engineered for demanding industrial environments, the PR 6003 offers reliable performance under challenging conditions, including wind loads, seismic activity, and vibration.

Covering a wide nominal load range from 500 kg to 75 tonnes, the mounting kit provides broad flexibility. Users can choose between mild steel and stainless steel versions, depending on corrosion resistance requirements. With permissible horizontal forces of up to 82 kN and an anti-lift device rated to withstand 120 kN, the kit offers strong mechanical protection.

The PR 6003 incorporates a range of features that simplify installation. Its dummy function allows mounting without the load cell in place, preventing damage during setup. The optional jack-up tool enables lifting of the silo to remove safety plates without external lifting equipment. With a compact design and total weight under 20 kg, one-person installation is achievable, making it particularly suited for on-site applications.

Minebea Intec also supports users with a dedicated wind and earthquake calculation tool to assist in structural planning. According to Product Manager Yannick Salzmann, the PR 6003 is a significant evolution of the proven PR 6001, offering enhanced performance and cost-efficiency.
