Spiroflow launches enhanced sack tip station to improve air quality and operator safety
Spiroflow has unveiled a newly engineered sack tip station designed to help manufacturers handle materials more safely, cleanly and efficiently.
The development follows growing customer concerns around air quality and operator exposure when working with powders that release hazardous particles during manual emptying.
A recent customer project highlighted the seriousness of the issue. Their existing equipment lacked sufficient filtration, allowing toxic dust to escape into the working environment and increasing the risk of operator inhalation.
In response, Spiroflow’s engineering team created a fully integrated solution that significantly improves air extraction while maintaining precise, controlled material flow.
The new sack tip station incorporates an integrated extraction unit that captures harmful airborne particles at source, improving air quality and reducing operator exposure.
A dedicated dust extraction fan provides continuous removal of fine dust during operation, helping to prevent build‑up and reduce health risks.
To support stable airflow and effective filtration, the system includes a compressed air inlet and breather disk, which work together to minimise the chance of dust escaping into the surrounding area.
Maintenance has also been streamlined through a filter cartridge access door, enabling quick and safe cleaning to ensure the system operates at peak efficiency.
A vibrator mount plate promotes consistent flow of difficult powders, reducing the risk of blockages, while a bolt‑in safety grid prevents accidental contact with the handling zone, adding an essential layer of operator protection.
