SSB Wägetechnik and Automation Steel strengthen European push for palletising robotics
SSB Wägetechnik and Automation Steel have announced a deeper partnership aimed at expanding their presence in Europe’s fast‑growing palletising and automation market.
The move is designed to offer distributors and system integrators clearer support, faster project delivery and improved access to technical expertise.
The collaboration centres on palletising robots from Japanese manufacturer Okura, widely used in high‑throughput finishing processes across the food, chemical, building materials and consumer goods sectors.
Known for their speed, precision and reliability in continuous operation, Okura systems form the backbone of many automated end‑of‑line environments.
By combining their respective strengths, the two companies say they can streamline project planning, simplify communication channels and accelerate the rollout of automation solutions.
Their joint offering spans project design, customised automation development, a broad range of grippers and end‑of‑arm tooling, technical support, training and engineering services for bespoke applications.
Distributors and integrators are expected to benefit from faster response times, direct access to robotics specialists and a more structured route into Okura’s established technology base.
The companies also highlight opportunities for co‑developing new market segments as automation demand continues to rise across Europe.
In a joint statement, the partners said their goal is to “provide long‑term support to distributors and partners for the successful implementation of automation projects”, emphasising that the strengthened relationship is part of a wider strategy to expand their footprint in palletising robotics.
They added that they are available to advise on country‑specific responsibilities, project requirements and the full range of application possibilities for Okura palletising robots.
