Schütz Australia Acquires Containersave & Drumsavers
SCHÜTZ is strengthening its packaging collection and reconditioning activities in Australia with the acquisition of ContainerSave and DrumSavers. This move expands the company’s production and service network by adding key capacities in the Australian state of Victoria.
SCHÜTZ Australia is the market leader in the production of 1,000-litre IBCs and PE drums. With a clear commitment to local manufacturing, the company started more than 30 years ago under the name Drum Services (DSL) before joining the SCHÜTZ Group 15 years ago. Today, the company’s three locations in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth supply customers across the vast Australian market.

With the integration of ContainerSave and Drum Savers, SCHÜTZ has gained two established experts with a strong market position. The business has specialised in cleaning and reconditioning IBCs, plastic drums and jerrycans for over 35 years.
Alan Barham, General Manager of SCHÜTZ Australia, explains this latest step: “The acquisition strengthens our sustainability expertise significantly and expands our range of circular packaging solutions. With our own washing and reconditioning capacities now on both the east and west coast of Australia, we are in a position to offer our customers an even more comprehensive service.”
ContainerSave and DrumSavers will continue to operate as independent brands, but with SCHÜTZ Australia’s overall support. The aim is to offer even more comprehensive support in the implementation of reduce, reuse and recycle concepts for industrial packaging.
