Helsinki-based Metso is expanding its mill lining Life Cycle Services (LCS) footprint across the Asia Pacific region, securing two new long-term agreements in the first half of 2026.
The latest contracts highlight a growing industry shift toward long-term collaboration, where performance, reliability and transparency are shared priorities between Metso and its customers.
These new agreements follow two LCS contracts signed in 2025, bringing the total value of the four deals to more than €25 million. Covering periods of up to three years, the agreements combine Metso’s equipment expertise with integrated service capabilities to deliver tailored solutions that enhance operational performance over time.
Customers across the region are increasingly seeking consistency, predictability and improved mill performance. In response, Metso’s agreements extend service coverage and standardise mill lining solutions across multiple sites. This approach supports continuous improvement and more efficient day‑to‑day operations.
Jarrod Pyke, director, solution group grinding, Asia Pacific at Metso, said the agreements reflected a deeper partnership model. “Through Life Cycle Services agreements, we partner closely with our customers, combining Metso’s unique LCS concept with technical expertise, asset management capabilities and strong local presence. Together, we improve operational performance, increase predictability and deliver measurable long-term value.”
Two of the agreements feature performance-based mill lining models, linking liner performance directly to throughput and service life. By aligning operational outcomes with customer objectives, these contracts help reduce risk and improve planning for maintenance and production.
The remaining agreements demonstrate the flexibility of Metso’s LCS offering, incorporating consignment stock, scheduled deliveries, on-site technical support, shutdown assistance and regular inspections. Some also include full-site mill liner supply with continuous performance follow-up, supporting stable operations and ongoing optimisation.
Metso’s LCS model focuses on measurable improvements defined through jointly agreed targets. In mill lining applications, this ensures optimised performance through continuous monitoring, tailored solutions and data-driven decision-making.
