Greif‑Velox launches Essential Line to streamline industrial filling and bagging projects

Greif‑Velox has introduced the Essential Line, a portfolio of preconfigured solutions for industrial liquid filling and bulk‑solid bagging.
The range is aimed at companies with clearly defined packaging processes that want proven technology with reduced engineering effort, shorter project lead times and predictable investment costs.
The new line comprises R‑DOS Essential, BVP Essential, VeloVac Essential and ValvoSeal Essential, covering applications from liquid filling and powder bagging to valve‑bag sealing.
It sits alongside the company’s Custom Line, giving customers a clearer choice between standardised and fully customised system concepts.
With the Essential Line, Greif‑Velox has transferred established filling and bagging technologies into standardised machine designs. Preconfigured variants, standard interfaces and predefined options reduce technical coordination and engineering requirements.
As a result, the systems are suited to typical industrial applications with clearly defined needs, offering shorter project and delivery times than individually engineered solutions.
The “Fit‑to‑Budget” approach combines a fixed functional scope and predictable investment costs with Greif‑Velox’s recognised quality and process reliability.

“With the Essential Line, we offer proven Greif‑Velox technology in a preconfigured machine concept. This allows us to combine the quality and process reliability we are known for with faster project implementation and predictable investment costs.”
The R‑DOS Essential radial filling system is designed for precise, semi‑automatic filling of liquid products into canisters, drums and IBCs. Depending on product and container type, it can fill up to 42 drums of 200 litres or up to 13 IBCs per hour. It handles liquids with viscosities from approximately 1 to 1,500 mPa·s, serving sectors such as chemicals, petrochemicals and speciality chemicals.
For powder bagging into valve bags, the Gross Pneumatic Packer BVP Essential is available in four configurations and can be expanded from manual operation to fully automated packaging. A key advantage is its retrofit capability: operators can begin with a defined configuration and add functions or automation steps later as production needs evolve.
The BVP Essential can also be integrated into a Full‑Line solution, meaning future expansions do not need to be included in the initial investment.
Depending on product, bag format and configuration, output rates of up to 140 bags per hour are achievable.
The system processes paper and woven PE valve bags and features precise weighing, stored product parameters and a low‑dust design. It is intended for companies entering industrial bagging with a defined scope or seeking to automate existing processes, and is suitable for industries including chemicals, minerals, building materials and food.
The VeloVac Essential vacuum packer brings the advantages of VeloVac technology to a standardised concept for clearly defined applications. It focuses on controlled, low‑dust bagging of ultra‑light, highly aerated powders such as carbon black or silica.
During filling, air is selectively extracted from the product, significantly compacting the powder. Depending on the material, compaction of up to 400 per cent is possible, reducing storage and logistics costs by up to 75 per cent. Lower transport volumes also reduce the carbon footprint. The enclosed vacuum chamber supports clean bagging and reduces product loss. With the Essential concept, Greif‑Velox makes these benefits available more quickly for applications with defined process requirements while reducing planning and coordination effort.
The fourth solution, ValvoSeal Essential, adds a standardised ultrasonic sealing unit for suitable valve bags.
It seals bags immediately after filling, reducing product leakage and contamination while improving product safety, leak‑tightness and process automation. It is designed for valve bags with ultrasonically weldable materials such as PE or PP.
