Emerson has introduced PACEdge™ version 3.0, a major update to its IIoT enablement platform designed to accelerate AI adoption and simplify application deployment.
The latest release brings new capabilities that directly support packaging and food and beverage manufacturers seeking to enhance productivity, standardise operations and unlock greater value from machine‑level data.
PACEdge 3.0 strengthens the platform’s ability to aggregate data from diverse IIoT sources and deploy it into containerised applications such as AI‑driven analytics, machine vision and real‑time visualisation. For packaging and F&B plants — where high‑speed lines, stringent quality requirements and continuous improvement pressures dominate — this enables faster decision‑making, improved defect detection and more efficient line optimisation.

Key enhancements include a new group manager that allows users to remotely manage fleets of devices across a plant or enterprise. Packaging and F&B teams can roll out updated dashboards, security patches and operating system upgrades to multiple machines simultaneously through an intuitive graphical interface, reducing engineering effort and minimising downtime.
Improved integration with the PACEdge app marketplace also streamlines access to containerised workloads.
Users can browse a single repository of applications tailored to their operational needs and deploy them with minimal configuration, supporting rapid adoption of AI tools, vision systems and other edge‑based capabilities.
