Brenntag strengthens supply chain with expanded GMP‑grade vitamin offering under new BYPHAR brand

Brenntag Pharma has deepened its long‑standing relationship with dsm‑firmenich through a new global distribution agreement that significantly enhances the availability of high‑purity vitamins for bulk handling, processing and upstream biomanufacturing.
The partnership introduces BYPHAR powered by Biond™, a co‑branded portfolio designed to support the growing demand for consistent, GMP‑grade ingredients used in cell culture media and biologics production.
Under the agreement, Brenntag receives exclusive distribution rights for dsm‑firmenich’s Biopharma‑grade Biond™ vitamin range across all major regions, including Europe, North America, LATAM, MEA and APAC.
Eight products – from Niacinamide (B3) and Folic Acid (B9) to Riboflavin 5’-Phosphate (B2) and D‑Biotin (B7) – will be available in multiple pack sizes suitable for R&D through to commercial‑scale processing.
The vitamins are engineered for critical upstream applications such as cell culture media, feed media and bioprocessing workflows.
Their high‑purity, multi‑compendial compliance and robust GMP credentials support reliable cell performance, process stability and scalable manufacturing – key requirements for bulk processors supplying biologics, vaccines and cell therapies.
Brenntag’s global logistics network and technical support further reinforce supply chain security for processors handling sensitive raw materials.
Gust Desmedt, Global President Pharma at Brenntag, said the partnership “significantly expands our global biopharma portfolio and reinforces our ability to support customers who depend on stable, quality‑assured raw materials.”
Fernanda Onofre of dsm‑firmenich added that Biond™ was developed to meet manufacturers’ increasing need for purity, reliability and technical expertise in upstream processing.
