AB Texel has agreed to acquire RWZ AG’s bulk transport operations in Germany, expanding its capability in the handling and distribution of grains and fertilisers.
The deal, announced on 31 July, will see RWZ’s fleet and employees transfer to AB Texel Feed Deutschland GmbH from 1 September 2026.
RWZ AG is one of Germany’s largest agricultural trading companies, and its grain‑transport activities complement AB Texel’s existing agri‑food logistics network.
The acquisition will allow AB Texel to optimise fleet utilisation, improve transport‑flow efficiency and enhance service levels for both RWZ and other customers.
Seasonal fluctuations in grain movements mean the two companies’ transport flows align well, supporting more flexible and cost‑efficient operations.
Executives from both organisations emphasise the long‑standing cooperation between RWZ and AB Texel, describing the acquisition as a natural progression.
By consolidating planning capacity and logistics expertise, the partnership aims to deliver stronger, more responsive grain‑handling services across Germany and Western Europe.
